On The Road

I am writing this entry from The Winter Sounds tour van that is heading back to Athens. They have one of the Cingular GSM wifi cards that lets you use their cellphone towers as wifi hotspots so you can pretty much get an internet connection anywhere. They were kind enough to let me tag along to their show in Columbus, GA where they played with Continue and Save at Rhino’s Live. It was great to visit a town I had never been to before, we arrived there around 8:30pm, but the show didn’t start until midnight so there was time to walk downtown which was pretty cool. Let me tell you this though, Columbus, GA loves their vintage clothes, furniture, and Wayne Newton. The show itself was great even though The Winter Sounds had to play last and since Continue and Save are the local band a lot of people left before the Winter Sounds played :(. But the people that stuck around were cool and enjoyed the show. The club itself was really nice and had some nice lights for the bands which made for some nice photos so look for them in the coming days. Tonight Continue and Save are coming here to Athens to play another show with The Winter Sounds which should be a blast.
