I received bad news in the mail, a rejection letter. This is what it said:
Dear Michael,
I enjoyed meeting you on August 1st during your interview for the IT Professional Associate position in the departments of Comparative Literature and Germanic and Slavic Langauges. I regret to inform you that the position has been filled.
You were a very strong candidate for the position. The departments had prior experience working with one of the other applicants. We made an offer to this candidate, and our offer was accepted.
I am impressed by your technical and interpersonal skills. I will certainly keep you in mind if we have similar vacancies in the near future.
Best Wishes,
Christine E Miller
Director of Franklin College of Arts and Sciences
Looks like one of the guys that was doing it already got the job because people already knew who he was. I did however apply for two other jobs since my interview so maybe I will get interviews for either one of those positions.
Tonight I am going to see “Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby” with some friends, I need a good laugh after being rejected 🙁
